Designed Blinds Australia created Beach 20 years ago - the original canvas Roman Blind that captured the essence of the casual Australian lifestyle. Beach® laid the foundation for the future of Designed Blinds Australia, with its popularity still steadily gaining.

Our resolute interest in innovation and smart design are the key factors that place us as the market leader that others strive to replicate. Following the success of Inika®, Designed Blinds Australia introduced further groundbreaking products, including Beach Roman Blinds®, Dual® and Overlap®. In 2007, we rolled out the Move® motorisation program throughout Australia, which was met with widespread acceptance and acclaim.

Based in Richmond Victoria, Designed Blinds Australia has a distributorship encompassing Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

Our founder

With over 30 years experience, founder and Creative Director Kevin Clarke is a respected and influential leader in the window furnishing industry, with a heavy involvement in textile design. In fact, Kevin has been wholly responsible for some of the most successful fabric designs in the country.

As the chief designer and creative force behind Designed Blinds Australia, Kevin works in close consultation with our experienced product management team, directing the development and implementation of new fabrics and designs.
